Caleb Daly

I use photography to connect with the environment around me and as an extension of memory. I began photographing my everyday life so I could keep a bank of images to use as references in my drawings and paintings, but soon realised that I could convey my thoughts clearer through my photographs. I choose to keep my photographs void of people because I like to capture the parts of the world that endure, while humans are everchanging and mobile. Two current influences on my work are Sabato Visconti and Daniel Temkin.

Memory Not Found

Memory Not Found is a project that has stemmed from my current feelings and thoughts surrounding my family home. The title is an error message that comes up on computers, and the images are made by creating errors in the image files themselves.
