I am a photographer with an interest in contemporary documentary practices, classical portraiture and street photography. Ciaran Og Arnold, Jim Goldberg and David Goldblatt are some of my inspirations. I aim to create work the resonates with Irish youth tapping into themes of Independence.

ireland-is-the-old-Sow-that-eats-her-farrow
Ireland is the old sow that eats her farrow' is a contemporary documentary project about the experience of Irish youth in satellite towns around Dublin. The title is a quote from James Joyce and the project was inspired by documentary work from Ciarán Óg Arnold. I worked with friends of mine to create portraits in their childhood bedrooms. I requested poetry from various friends to create the collage pieces, presented anonymously to evoke the most sincerity for the work through privacy and separation.
